Cayton Bay Holiday Park is a Parkdean Resorts flagship action resort near Scarborough, famous for its thrilling outdoor Adventure Village and direct paths down to a spectacular surfing beach. The resort features a fully renovated heated indoor Waterworld swimming pool packed with flumes, aqua jets, aqua paddlers, water walkerz spheres, and splash zones. Families can enjoy the multi-level amusement arcade, live music and dazzling Trouper Productions in the Showbar, alongside creative spaces like the Arts & Crafts Den for tie-dye, sand art, and pottery painting.

The Boathouse complex features a modern outdoor patio leading right into the central hubs, allowing parents to relax while kids take part in coached activities like the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, archery, hover archery, or outdoor laser tag games. For dining and snacks, families can visit the Boathouse Bar & Restaurant, the Pizza Box takeaway, Street Eats takeaway, Scoops ice cream parlour, or relax at the Woof Park dog agility playground. Booking activities is simple: head over to the Main Park Reception as soon as you arrive on park. The reception team will check current availability and book your family into the swimming sessions and activities (like the High Ropes, Sports Dome, or Arts & Crafts Den) right there.

💡 Swimming Tip: Parkdean Resorts allows guests to book up to 3 swimming pool sessions per holiday itinerary. If you'd like additional pool slots or missed out on a specific time, you can also queue at the pool entrance on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to maximum pool capacities.

Best Things to Do Near Cayton Bay

Cayton Bay is perfectly placed for exploring the North Yorkshire Coast. The historic seaside resort of Scarborough is just a short 10-minute drive north from the park, while the quiet sands of Filey are only 10 minutes south. Catch a bus directly from the park entrance for convenient transit links straight to Scarborough, Filey, or Bridlington. Nearby coastal spots offer coastal trails, dramatic headlands, and seafront amusements, all within easy reach.

For a full day out, historic Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, and the North York Moors National Park are close by, while family thrill-seekers can easily reach local theme parks, the historic steam railway at Pickering, or follow local walking trails along the iconic Cleveland Way.

2026 Cayton Bay Pass Prices

Cayton Bay Hub Passes give you access to the entertainment complex, swimming pools, and sports and leisure facilities. Passes can be purchased directly from Parkdean Resorts reception. Please note that Hub Passes are non-refundable.

Parkdean Resorts Hub Passes are available for purchase online or upon arrival from Reception.

Caution for Parkdean Private Guests

Parkdean owners do not get free passes they can give to private letting guests. If you book a holiday at Cayton Bay and an owner provides passes that are not called Hub Passes with your name and holiday duration printed, they are not genuine Parkdean Resorts park passes.
